“Saya optimistis perdagangan Indonesia dan PEA akan semakin meningkat, terutama dengan
dimulainya implementasi IUAE CEPA pada 1 September 2023,” kata Mendag Zulkifli Hasan.
Total perdagangan Indonesia-Uni Emirat Arab pada periode Januari–Juni 2023 tercatat sebesar
USD 2,21 miliar. Dari nilai tersebut, ekspor Indonesia ke Uni Emirat Arab sebesar USD 1,20 miliar
serta impor Indonesia dari Uni Emirat Arab sebesar USD 1,02 miliar. Sedangkan pada 2022, total
perdagangan kedua negara mencapai USD 5,05 miliar atau meningkat dibanding tahun
sebelumnya yang tercatat sebesar USD 4,03 miliar.
Pada pertemuan tersebut, Mendag Zulkifli Hasan juga mengusulkan agar segera dilaksanakan
pertemuan Komite Bersama (JCM) di tingkat Pejabat Senior dan Komite tertentu (Komite
Perdagangan Barang dan Komite Ekonomi Islam) antar-kedua negara. Tujuannya agar
implementasi IUAE CEPA berjalan lancar.
“Dengan implementasi IUEA CEPA yang baru berlaku, ada sejumlah isu teknis perlu segera
diselesaikan kedua negara. Untuk itu, Indonesia mengusulkan kepada PEA agar segera
dilaksanakan pertemuan Komite Bersama (JCM) di tingkat Pejabat Senior dan Komite tertentu
(Komite Perdagangan Barang dan Komite Ekonomi Islam) antar-kedua negara untuk
menyelesaikan isu teknis guna menjamin kelancaran implementasi persetujuan,” urai Mendag
Zulkifli Hasan.

Penetapan Tarif Bea Masuk, PMK tentang Tata Cara Pengenaan Tarif Bea Masuk atas Barang
Impor, dan Peraturan Menteri Perdagangan (Permendag) Nomor 28 Tahun 2023 tentang
Ketentuan Asal Barang dan Ketentuan Penerbitan Surat Keterangan Asal untuk Barang Asal
Indonesia.
