MEMPERERAT TALI PERSAUDARAAN, WALI KOTA ERI GELAR MADURA FOOD FESTIVAL DI KYA-KYA

Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Surabaya menggelar Madura Food Festival di Wisata Kya-kya Kembang Jepun Surabaya pada 22-24 September 2023. Festival itu semakin meriah dan ramai pengunjung pada saat Sabtu malam atau malam Minggu. Bahkan, Wali Kota Surabaya Eri Cahyadi bersama Ketua TP PKK Surabaya turut hadir ke acara tersebut pada Sabtu (24/9/2023) malam.

Saat itu, ia juga sempat meninjau sejumlah stand masakan Madura yang berada di sisi kiri panggung utama. Sedangkan stand-stand yang berada di sisi kanan panggung adalah stand masakan khas Cina yang sudah ada sebelumnya.

Pada kesempatan itu, Wali Kota Eri mengatakan Kota Surabaya itu terdiri dari berbagai macam culture, berbagai macam suku budaya. Salah satu suku yang banyak di Surabaya adalah Madura, yang mana masakan mereka ini sangat luar biasa. 

“Kalau saya main ke saudara-saudara Madura, ke nikahannya saudara Madura, masakannya itu enak-enak. Nah, masakan yang khas dan enak-enak itu harus dimunculkan, dan inilah momentumnya dalam festival. Semoga kita semakin bisa memahami, merasakan dan menikmati semua makanan dari suku yang ada di Surabaya,” katanya. 

Ia juga menjelaskan bahwa kalau berbicara soal Wisata Kya-kya tentu langsung tertuju pada masakan khas Cina. Namun, hari ini ada yang berbeda, ada masakan khas Madura sebanyak 30 tenan yang menjual masakan khas Madura dan ikut memeriahkan acara festival ini.

“Semoga festival ini bisa menggerakkan tali persaudaraan kita, bisa menggerakkan rasa persaudaraan kita dan bisa memberikan tempat kuliner yang semakin banyak di Kota Surabaya. Saya yakin insyaallah ketika ini terus bergerak dan berkembang maka akan menggerakkan UMKM dan Kota Surabaya menjadi luar biasa,” tegasnya. 

Ia juga berharap dengan digelarnya festival ini Wisata Kya-kya semakin ramai dan perekonomiannya semakin bergerak dan menjadi luar biasa. Akhirnya, ia berdoa semoga dengan acara ini menjadi berkah bagi semuanya.  

“Ini adalah kebahagiaan tersendiri buat saya ketika semuanya bersatu menjadi satu kesatuan, dengan bersatu insyaallah kita akan merasakan kenikmatan yang ada di kota Surabaya. Terimakasih semuanya,” katanya. 

Oleh karena itu, ia memastikan acara festival serupa akan terus digelar di Wisata Kya-kya Kembang Jepun, sehingga di wisata tersebut ada makanan khas Cina dan masakan khas Madura. “Nanti Kya-kya ini juga masih kita sempurnakan dan dipasang papan-papan namanya, sehingga nanti ke depan kawasan ini semakin indah,” katanya. 

Ketua Forum Masyarakat Bersatu Jawa Timur Abah Rodian menyampaikan terimakasih yang sebesar-besarnya kepada Wali Kota Eri beserta jajarannya yang telah menggelar acara ini. Ia berharap acara serupa akan terus digelar di Kya-kya dan tempat lainnya. “Kalau bisa juga digelar di Jembatan Surabaya Pak Wali. Kami siap mendukung mensukseskan acara seperti ini ke depannya,” pungkasnya.
