Presiden: KTT AIS Forum Momentum Baik Perkuat Kolaborasi Negara Kepulauan dan Pulau

Presiden Joko Widodo menyatakan lautan bukanlah pemisah, melainkan pemersatu dan perekat hubungan antarnegara kepulauan dan negara pulau. Menurut Presiden, penyelenggaraan Konferensi Tingkat Tinggi (KTT) Archipelagic and Island States (AIS) Forum merupakan momentum yang baik dalam memperkuat kolaborasi antarnegara tersebut. 

“Indonesia merasa terhormat menjadi tuan rumah momentum bersejarah KTT pertama AIS Forum. Sebuah forum untuk penguatan kolaborasi antarnegara kepulauan dan negara pulau yang dihubungkan oleh laut,” ujar Presiden dalam sambutan saat membuka Sesi Pleno Konferensi Tingkat Tinggi (KTT) Archipelagic and Island States (AIS) Forum yang digelar di Nusa Dua Hall 5, Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC), Kabupaten Badung, Provinsi Bali, Rabu (11/10/2023).

Sebagai sesama negara kepulauan dan pulau, Presiden memandang bahwa setiap negara menghadapi sejumlah tantangan yang saling berkaitan satu sama lain. Oleh karena itu, Kepala Negara menekankan pentingnya kelaborasi guna menghasilkan langkah-langkah strategis dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut. 

“Oleh karena itu, kolaborasi dan solidaritas negara kepulauan dan negara pulau sangat penting untuk menghasilkan langkah-langkah strategis, konkret, dan taktis dalam penyelesaian masalah bersama,” tambahnya. 

Melalui KTT AIS Forum ini, Presiden mengatakan bahwa kesempatan bagi negara kepulauan dan negara pulau untuk menentukan arah kolaborasi ke depan sangat besar. Presiden pun mengungkapkan tiga hal penting yang perlu didorong guna memperkuat kolaborasi tersebut.  

“Yang pertama solidaritas, kesetaraan, dan inklusivitas adalah prinsip yang menjadi pegangan bersama. Yang kedua prioritas pada kerja sama konkret yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan penerima. Yang ketiga kerangka kerja sama yang tangguh dan dinamis untuk menghadapi tantangan-tantangan ke depan,” lanjutnya. 

Pada kesempatan yang sama, Presiden juga menyampaikan komitmen Indonesia terus konsisten dalam menyuarakan kepentingan baik negara kepulauan maupun negara berkembang dalam sejumlah forum Internasional. Di samping itu, Indonesia juga berkomitmen menyiapkan dana hibah untuk kepentingan negara kepulauan dan negara berkembang.  

“Marilah kita tetap memilih untuk terus menjalin kesatuan dan terus menjalin kolaborasi walaupun di tengah kondisi dunia yang terbelah. Let us walk and work together,” tandasnya.
