Bisnis.com, JAKARTA — Holding Perkebunan Nusantara PTPN III (Persero) tengah berupaya untuk ekspansi lahan tertanam tebu selepas penugasan khusus penyediaan bahan bakar (BBN) jenis bioetanol pendamping gasoline.  Entitas konsolidasi perkebunan tebu PTPN, PT Sinergi Gula Nusantara atau Sugar Co mengatakan perusahaan perkebunan pelat merah bakal menambah lahan tertanam tebu hingga 490.000 hektare (ha) dari target penambahan lahan keseluruhan mencapai 700.000 ha. Sisanya bakal dikerjakan perkebunan swasta dan PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (Persero). CEO Sugar Co Aris Toharisman menuturkan saat ini posisi lahan yang dikelola holding perkebunan pelat merah mencapai 185.000 ha. Sementara lahan yang ditanami tebu berada di kisaran 70.000 ha hingga pertengahan tahun ini. “Proyeksi kami akan terus kami tingkatkan itu menjadi 100.000 ha yang ditanami tebu dari sekarang 70.000 ha, Insy Allah 2028 itu 490.000 ha akan tercapai,” kata Aris kepada Bisnis, Senin (19/6/2023).
