Rowing Sumbang Medali Pertama Tim Indonesia di Asian Games 2022 Hangzhou

Hangzhou, September 2023 – Tim Rowing menjadi cabang olahraga penyumbang medali pertama buat Tim Indonesia di Asian Games 2022 Hangzhou, Minggu (24/9). 

Dari nomor lightweight women double sculls, pedayung Merah Putih Chelsea Corputty dan Mutiara Rahma Putri berhasil meraih medali perunggu usai mencatatkan waktu 7 menit 17,64 detik usai mendayung sejauh 2000 meter. Medali emas diraih wakil China dan perak direbut Uzbekistan. 

“Untuk Chelsea dan Mutiara, hasil ini sudah sesuai harapan. Kali ini mereka bisa menang dari awal, mereka tidak terburu-buru dan menerapkan irama-irama yang  sudah dilatih. Jepang dan Iran saling mengalahkan, waktu finisnya tipis,” kata Budiman Setiawan, Manajer Timnas Rowing. 

Tim rowing Indonesia masih membuka peluang untuk menambah pundi-pundi medali di hari pertama gelaran Asian Games 2022 Hangzhou. Masih ada nomor mens double scull, mens pair dan mens eight yang finalnya akan diperlombakan hari ini. 

“Hari ini masih ada beberapa final. Mudah-mudahan bisa tambah medali,” ujarnya.
