Menteri Perdagangan Zulkifli Hasan memimpin penyerahan bantuan “Kemendag Peduli” kepada masyarakat Kabupaten Puncak, khususnya Distrik Agandugume dan Lembawi yang mengalami bencana kekeringan dan cuaca dingin ekstrem beberapa waktu lalu. Bantuan diserahkan secara simbolis kepada Bupati Puncak Willem Wandik di Posko Tanggap Darurat Penanganan Bencana Kabupaten Puncak di Mimika, Papua Tengah pada Selasa, 19 September 2023.
Bantuan yang diserahkan berupa barang kebutuhan pokok sebanyak 2.000 paket. Masing-masing paket tersebut terdiri atas 5 kg beras, 1 liter minyak goreng, dan mi instan.
“Kegiatan ini merupakan bukti kehadiran negara, yang diwakili oleh Kementerian Perdagangan, di manapun masyarakat berada. Apa yang dirasakan masyarakat Papua Tengah, khususnya Kabupaten Puncak, kami juga merasakan sebagai bentuk tali asih,” kata Mendag Zulkifli Hasan.
Pada hari yang sama, Mendag Zulkifli Hasan juga melakukan kegiatan bakti sosial di Mimika, Papua Tengah. Bakti sosial ini merupakan bentuk sinergi “Kemendag Peduli” dengan CorporateSocial Responsibility (CSR) PT Freeport Indonesia yang diwujudkan dalam pemberian bantuan barang kebutuhan pokok kepada masyarakat Mimika. Adapun bantuan yang diserahkan yaitu barang kebutuhan pokok sebanyak 5.000 paket. Masing-masing paket terdiri atas 5 kg beras, 1 liter minyak goreng, telur, dan susu. Bantuan diserahkan secara simbolis oleh Mendag Zulkifli Hasan kepada Bupati Mimika Eltinus Omaleng.
“Kemendag bersinergi dengan PT Freeport Indonesia berbagi dengan masyarakat Mimika. Diharapkan bantuan dapat meringankan beban masyarakat sehari-hari dan mudah-mudahan bermanfaat,”ujar Mendag Zulkifli Hasan.
Turut mendampingi Mendag Zulkifli Hasan pada kegiatan ini yaitu Direktur Jenderal Perdagangan Dalam Negeri Isy Karim.
