Berangkatkan 2.000 Peserta Magang ke Jepang, Pemerintah Terus Upayakan Peningkatan Kompetensi Sumber Daya Manusia

Jakarta, September 2023 – Berbekal keunggulan jumlah penduduk usia produktif yang tinggi, Indonesia terus mendorong pemanfaatan bonus demografi secara optimal melalui peningkatan kompetensi Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM). Tercatat menurut data BPS, pada Februari 2023 sebanyak 211,59 juta penduduk berada pada usia kerja dan 146,62 juta orang diantaranya merupakan angkatan kerja. Di samping itu, Indonesia juga mengalami penurunan tingkat pengangguran terbuka pada Februari 2023, yang semula 5,83% menjadi 5,45%.

Sebagai salah satu upaya strategis dalam mendorong peningkatan kompetensi angkatan kerja, Pemerintah menjalin berbagai kerja sama bilateral dalam menyediakan fasilitas pemagangan. Diharapkan melalui kegiatan pemagangan yang baik dapat menciptakan lulusan dengan kompetensi sesuai kebutuhan dunia usaha dan industri, serta mampu bersaing di tingkat global.

“Pemagangan menjadi andalan bagi Indonesia untuk peningkatan kompetensi, karena pemuda-pemudi yang magang akan belajar di industri masing-masing, tentunya dengan standar dunia, apalagi Jepang yang produknya kebanyakan di ekspor ke mancanegara dan mempunyai standar tinggi,” ungkap Menteri Koordinator Bidang Perekonomian Airlangga Hartarto saat melepas 2.000 Peserta Magang ke Jepang, Kamis (21/09).

Lebih lanjut, Menko Airlangga menyebutkan bahwa Program Pemagangan Luar Negeri tersebut dapat memberikan manfaat bagi kedua negara. Melalui program tersebut, peserta mampu memahami praktik kerja terbaik yang telah diterapkan di negara maju. Bagi negara tujuan pemagangan, manfaat yang didapat berupa ketersediaan tenaga kerja yang kompeten untuk mendorong produktivitas perekonomiannya.

Dalam RPJMN 2020-2024, Pemerintah juga telah menargetkan lebih dari 20 ribu orang mengikuti program pemagangan luar negeri. Hingga Juni 2023, jumlah peserta magang yang telah terealisasi sebanyak 15.031 peserta, dengan jumlah peserta pemagangan aktif di Jepang sebesar 39 ribu orang.

Dari jumlah tersebut, lebih dari delapan ribu alumni telah mendirikan usaha mandiri, mulai dari skala kecil hingga menengah. Pemerintah juga terus memberikan dukungan bagi kewirausahaan, salah satunya dengan menyediakan akses pembiayaan yang mudah dan murah melalui Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR). Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Menko Airlangga juga melakukan penyerahan secara simbolis Bantuan Usaha Mandiri kepada perwakilan alumni pemagangan senilai Rp100 juta.

”Saya harap tentu kerja sama ini dapat ditingkatkan, dan kepada seluruh peserta dapat diberikan hak-haknya dan diberikan perlindungan selama menjalani program pemagangan di Jepang,” pungkas Menko Airlangga.

Menutup sambutan, Menko Airlangga juga berpesan bahwa upaya peningkatan kompetensi SDM yang telah dilakukan Pemerintah dalam rangka memaksimalkan potensi bonus demografi tersebut perlu untuk terus didukung, dengan kolaborasi dan kerja sama dari berbagai pihak baik dari sektor publik, swasta, lembaga pelatihan, hingga masyarakat.

Turut hadir dalam kegiatan tersebut diantaranya yakni Menteri Ketenagakerjaan Ida Fauziah, Direktur Jenderal Protokol dan Konsuler  Kementerian Luar Negeri Andy Rachmianto, Staf Ahli Bidang Transformasi Digital, Kreativitas, dan Sumber Daya Manusia Kemenko Perekonomian Rizal Edwin, Staf Khusus Bidang Pengembangan Ekonomi dan Daya Saing Kemenko Perekonomian Heru Dewanto, Juru Bicara Kemenko Perekonomian Haryo Limanseto, Kepala Dinas Tenaga Kerja DKI Jakarta Hari Nugroho, Staf Khusus Kementerian Ketenagakerjaan, serta Perwakilan Duta Besar Jepang Untuk Indonesia.
