mendukung terwujudnya kemudahan berbisnis antara para pelaku usaha di kawasan ASEAN. Hal

(3/9). Pertemuan kali ini dilakukan di sela-sela Pertemuan Dewan Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN
(AECC Meeting) pada hari yang sama di Jakarta.
“Jadi, semua memang harus dipermudah. ASEAN akan menjadi satu, paling tidak di bidang
perdagangan, investasi, dan jasa. Kemudian disatukan pula dengan digitalisasi yang bersifat
paperless. Hal ini dilakukan agar kita bisa bersaing dengan negara-negara lain,” ungkap Mendag
Zulkifli Hasan.
Dalam pertemuan tersebut, delegasi ASEAN-BAC Malaysia diwakili para pengusaha di berbagai
bidang di antaranya transportasi dan perbankan. Mendag Zulkifli Hasan menyampaikan, para
pengusaha Malaysia ingin terjadi percepatan realisasi kesepakatan lingkup ASEAN, termasuk
perdagangan intra-ASEAN. “Misalnya pengiriman barang, keluar masuk barang. Hal itu sudah bisa
dipermudah agar efisien,” imbuh Mendag Zulkifli Hasan.
Ia pun mengatakan, keputusan-keputusan terkait perdagangan di ASEAN akan dibahas para kepala
negara pada Konferensi Tingkat Tinggi ASEAN pada 5—7 September mendatang di Jakarta.
