Jakarta – PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk atau BNI mendorong nasabahnya untuk bergerak menjadi perusahaan yang ramah lingkungan melalui skema sustainability linked loan atau SLL.
Melalui skema ini, nasabah didorong dan ditargetkan untuk mengurangi emisi, misalnya dengan meningkatkan waste management dan penerapan operasional yang ramah lingkungan.
“Selain Green Bond, BNI juga mendorong perusahaan yang kami biayai untuk mengarah menjadi green melalui sustainability linked loan. Jadi kami memberikan pembiayaan ke nasabah, tetapi kami juga menetapkan target yang harus mereka perbaiki,” kata Direktur Risk Management BNI David Pirzada, di acara BNI Investor Daily Summit 2023 di Hutan Kota by Plataran, Senayan, Jakarta, Rabu (25/10/2023).
David menambahkan, BNI nantinya akan memberikan insentif bagi perusahaan yang mampu mencapai target SLL.
“Kalau mereka capai target SLL, kami berikan insentif, misalnya bunga lebih rendah. Kami sudah memberi sekitar Rp 4,7 triliun ke beberapa nasabah,” tuturnya.
Sementara itu, BNI juga telah menerbitkan Green Bond sebesar Rp 5 triliun sejak Juni 2022. Hingga saat ini telah tersalurkan pembiayaan ke sektor ramah lingkungan sebesar 80%.
Penerbitan Green Bond dilakukan untuk mendukung pembiayaan proyek-proyek ekonomi hijau atau berkelanjutan. Dengan menerbitkan Green Bond, BNI sekaligus dapat menghitung dampak dari pengurangan emisi.
