Jakarta,– Dalam rangka mendorong inklusi keuangan syariah, PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk. (BSI) telah mengelola dana di pesantren dan sekolah islam dengan total sejumlah Rp 5.42 triliun.
Lebih rinci, per September 2023, BSI tengah mengembangkan lebih dari 31.000 pesantren, dengan dana kelolaan mencapai Rp928 miliar. Adapun dana kelolaan sekolah Islam mencapai Rp4,5 triliun, yang mencakup lebih dari 187.000 sekolah.
Direktur Sales & Distribution BSI Anton Sukarna mengatakan, langkah ini dilakukan dalam rangka memperkuat ekosistem ekonomi Islam sebagai strategi untuk mendorong percepatan inklusi keuangan syariah di Indonesia.
“BSI bertekad menjadi partner keuangan syariah yang kompeten dan siap secara digital. Agar nantinya ekosistem pesantren, sekolah dan lembaga pendidikan Islam, bisnis haji dan umrah, manajemen pengelolaan masjid akan terstruktur dari sisi manajemen keuangan syariahnya,” kata Anton, dikutip dari keterangan resmi pada Senin, (6/11/2023).
Di sisi lain, untuk ekosistem haji dan umrah, saat ini BSI telah mendapat kepercayaan 4,87 juta nasabah dengan dana kelolaan mencapai Rp11,4 triliun, sedangkan melalui pemberdayaan ekosistem masjid sudah mencapai lebih dari 270.000 nasabah.
“Saat ini, BSI telah memiliki cash management system yang bisa digunakan untuk korporasi, lembaga dan perorangan untuk mengontrol keuangannya. Sehingga cashflow dapat dikelola oleh pihak internal institusi,” ujar BSI.
Diketahui, Pemerintah terus menggenjot potensi ekonomi dan keuangan syariah di Indonesia. Wakil Presiden RI Ma’ruf Amin mengatakan, pesantren bisa menjadi salah satu tonggak perkembangan ekonomi syariah di RI.
“Ini kenapa santri diharap jadi mujahid ekonomi. Menjadi tanggung jawab kita untuk memakmurkan bumi dengan berbagai kegiatan ekonomi, pertanian, industri dan lainnya,” ungkap Ma’ruf dalam acara Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF) di Jakarta, Kamis, (26/10/2023).
Dalam sambutannya, Ma’ruf juga meminta agar para pebisnis syariah terus meningkatkan literasi dan inklusi keuangan syariah, hingga setidaknya mencapai 50%.
