Demi Melestarikan Potensi Destinasi Wisata Internasional Hentikan Pengeboman di Perairan Gorut

Gorontalo Utara– Gorontalo Utara memiliki keindahan tersendiri. Pulau-pulaunya menyimpan eksotisme luar biasa yang bisa ditawarkan kepada turis baik domestik maupun internasional. Demikian disampaikan Kepala Dinas Pariwisata Provinsi Gorontalo, Aryanto Husain, saat mendampingi Pj. Gubernur Gorontalo mengunjungi pulau-pulau di perairan Gorut, Minggu, 10 Desember.

Kadispar yang juga Ketua Ikatan Sarjana Kelautan Provinsi Gorontalo ini mengatakan Perairan Gorut terletak di bagian utara provinsi Gorontalo, atau 400 km sebelah barat kota Manado. Kawasan ini dapat dicapai dalam waktu kurang dari sejam dari Bandara Gorontalo atau 120 km dari Kota Gorontalo.

Pulau-pulau kecil ini tersebar membentang dari wilayah Tolinggula hingga Atinggola. Menurut Aryanto yang banyak dikenal antara lain Pulau Saronde, Pulau Ponelo, Pulau Raja, Pulau Dudepo, Pulau Lampu, dan Pulau Mohinggito.

“Tentu saja, masih banyak lagi yang bisa dieksplore untuk kepentingan pariwisata,” tutur Aryanto.

Wisatawan dapat menikmati keindahan bawah laut dibeberapa diving site, atau snorkling di hamparan terumbu karang di perairan dangkal depan pulau.

Aryanto juga menambahkan, para wisatawan juga bisa cukup berjemur dihamparan pasir putih yang mengelilingi pulau atau menikmati pesona budaya lokal yang ada.

“Ada juga ribuan burung hidup yang singgah di pulau atau berbagai macam batuan kuno yang juga bisa dinikmati baik untuk pemotretan atau kajian-kajian ilmiah,” tambahnya.

Aryanto menyayangkan masih ada sejumlah tantangan untuk menjadikan kawasan ini sebagai destinasi utama Gorontalo.

Hal ini terkait transportasi laut yang menghubungkan satu pulau ke pulau lain. Armadanya belum memadai, fasilitas dermaganya juga belum representatif bagi para wisatawan.

“Kami juga dilaporin adanya penangkapan ikan dengan bom. Saya minta ini dihentikan segera karena sangat mengganggu kegiatan wisatawan baik yang sedang santai di pulau maupun yang sedang menyelam,” tegas Aryanto.

Menurut Aryanto, pengeboman ikan tidak hanya mengancam keselamatan wisatawan tapi juga merusak habitat ikan dan ekosistim perairan.

“Sesuai perintah Pak Gubernur, kami akan berkoordinasi dengan pihak-pihak terkait agar hal ini tidak terjadi lagi demi nama baik pariwisata Gorontalo di mata wisata domestik dan mancanegara,” urainya.

Sebelumnya diberitakan dengan menumpangi KM Ganda Nusantara 5, rombongan Penjagub Ismail Pakaya bersama istri Fima Agustina dan sejumlah pimpinan OPD bertolak dari Pelabuhan Kwandang menuju Ponelo Kepulauan. Berlanjut ke destinasi wisata Pulau Saronde dan berakhir di Oile Beach and Resort.
