NGAWI – Unit Usaha PT Sinergi Gula Nusantara (SGN) Pabrik Gula Soedhono bersama Masyarakat Desa Tambakromo dan Desa Geneng Kabupaten Ngawi Jawa Timur melaksanakan kegiatan pembersihan sampah dan sedimen saluran air tersier lingkungan warga Sabtu (9/12). PT Sinergi Gula Nusantara merupakan salah satu anak perusahaan PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) Holding Perkebunan Nusantara dengan komoditas tebu.
“Kami mengajak masyarakat bersama-sama untuk menjaga kebersihan lingkungan. Setelah dilakukannya kegiatan ini, Kami berharap semakin banyak masyarakat sekitar sadar akan kebersihan lingkungan. Terutama saat ini sudah masuk musim hujan”, ungkap Pujo Sumarsono Plt General Manager PG Soedhono.
Kegiatan yang rutin digelar PG Soedhono merupakan dukungan terhadap program Kementerian BUMN yaitu BUMN Environmental Movement dan menjadi salah satu program CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Pilar Lingkungan dari Pabrik Gula SGN.
“Efektivitas kegiatan bersama ini terlihat dari saluran air yang bersih dari sampah, dalam waktu tidak sampai satu hari sampah dan Sedimen diperkirakan lebih dari 50 ton berhasil diangkat dan dibawa ketempat yang telah ditentukan”, terang Pujo lebih lanjut.
Kegiatan ini dihadiri langsung oleh General Manager Pabrik Gula Soedhono beserta jajarannya, Forkopimca (Forum Koordinasi Pimpinan di Kecamatan) Kec. Geneng serta Organisasi Sukarelawan PESONA Ngawi, serta masyarakat setempat.

Kegiatan tersebut mendapat dukungan positif dari warga, Mbah Ndo salah satu warga yang menjadi relawan PESONA Ngawi berharap agar kegiatan tersebut dilakukan secara berkala dan menjadi gerakan kepedulian bersama terhadap kelestarian lingkungan.
“Kami berterimakasih kepada PG Soedhono yang melibatkan masyarakat, dan mengajak semua untuk lebih peduli terhadap kelestarian lingkungan”, kata Mbah Ndo.
Sementara itu Brilliant Johan Anugerah Kepala Sub Divisi Komunikasi dan TJSL SGN menyambut baik kegiatan yang di selenggarakan di lingkungan kerja PG Soedhono tersebut.
“SGN mendukung kegiatan sosial yang dilakukan di PG Soedhono, ini bisa dijadikan role model untuk unit usaha yang lain. Kegiatan yang melibatkan masyarakat untuk kelestarian lingkungan dan hasil dan masnfaatnya akan kembali pada masyarakat. Pembangunan Pilar Lingkungan ini bagian dari program CSR SGN selain Pilar Sosial dan Pilar Ekonomi yang sudah berjalan “, ujar Brilliant.
