PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) X konsisten mendukung Program Pemerintahan swasembada pangan dengan menanam kedelai di lahan tebu HGU Jengkol Kediri, Jumat (20/01). Acara tersebut dihadiri oleh Direktur PTPN X, Tuhu Bangun, SEVP Business Support dan Operation PTPN X, Benny Sandjaya serta Pejabat Puncak PTPN X.
”Kegiatan ini merupakan salah satu bentuk sinergi BUMN, dimana wujud komitmen PTPN X untuk bersama-sama memajukan tanaman kedelai. Harapannya, melalui tanam perdana kedelai ini yang akan dikembangkan lebih kurang 200 Hektar di area lahan produktif, yang mana untuk pemenuhan swasembada kedelai ini di tahun 2023 swasembada kedelai dapat mencapai 2,5 juta/hektar”, jelas Tuhu Bangun.
Metode tanam yang digunakan adalah Tumpangsari, dimana dengan masa tanam kedelai yang berkisar antara 85 hari, nantinya diprediksi panen akan tiba di awal April hingga pertengahan Mei 2023 yang bertepatan dengan masa tanam tebu PC. Pengelolaan lahan tanam kedelai ini sepenuhnya diberikan kepada Puslit Jengkol, mulai dari pemilihan bibit, tanam, hingga perawatan. “Harapan kami Puslit Jengkol bisa mengawal budidayanya dari awal sampai panen dengan baik, “ ucap Aris Handoyo, Kepala Bagian Sekper PTPN X.
