Jakarta – Kementerian Investasi/Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal (BKPM) menggelar acara pemberian Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB) kepada pelaku usaha mikro kecil dan menengah (UMKM) Perseorangan di Sorong, Papua Barat Daya. Pemberian NIB merupakan kegiatan keempat setelah sebelumnya dilaksanakan di Jakarta Barat, Riau, dan Palu.
Plt. Deputi Bidang Pelayanan Penanaman Modal Achmad Idrus, mengatakan NIB ini sangat bermanfaat untuk mempermudah para pelaku UMK untuk meminjam modal di perbankan. “Sekarang kalo pinjam buat modal di bank itu, syarat pertama harus punya NIB,” Kata Idrus dikutip melalui YouTube Kementerian Investasi/BKPM, Rabu, 11 Oktober 2023.
Menurutnya, kegiatan pemberian NIB hari ini sekaligus melakukan sosialisasi agar seluruh masyarakat Indonesia, khususnya warga Papua Barat Daya memilih profesi sebagai pengusaha. “Karena mengurus izin juga sudah gampang. Gampang, mudah, cepat, dan tanpa pungutan bayaran atau biaya apapun,” ujar Idrus.
Dalam kesempatan yang sama, Pj Gubernur Papua Barat Daya, Muhammad Musa’ad berharap pengusaha UMKM dapat memanfaatkan NIB dengan sebaik-baiknya. “UMK-nya harus naik kelas. Kita dari tahun ke tahun modalnya kecil, mau jadi pengusaha tapi ngga naik-naik,” ujar Musa’ad.
Dengan pemberian NIB ini, Pj Gubernur itu meminta arahan kepada pemerintah agar bisa berkolaborasi untuk meningkatkan kualitas UMKM di Papua Barat Daya. “Kita juga sudah bekerja sama dengan Bank Papua, dengan program yang namanya Papeda (Pengembangan Perekonomian Pemuda),” kata dia.
Adapun program Papeda ini, kata Musa’ad, para pelaku UMK akan diberikan Kredit Tanpa Agunan (KTA) hingga Rp 10 juta bagi pemula. “Jadi ini (pemberian NIB) sangat berkesinambungan dengan apa yang kita lakukan,” ujarnya. Dia berharap UMK dapat menjadi usaha besar ke depannya.
