KTT ke-3 ASEAN—Australia, ASEAN Dorong Penyelesaian Tanda Tangan 2nd Protocol AANZFTA Sebelum Akhir Tahun 2023

Jakarta, September 2023 – Para pemimpin negara sepakat meningkatkan kerja sama di kawasan
Indo-Pasifik sebagai epicentrum of growth dan mendorong kerjasama strategis lainnya. Hal
tersebut mengemuka pada Pertemuan Konferensi Tingkat Tinggi (KTT) ASEAN—Australia, Kamis
(7/9) di Jakarta.
Pertemuan KTT ke-33 ASEAN-Australia dipimpin Presiden RI Joko Widodo bersama Perdana
Menteri Australia Anthony Albanese. Menteri Perdagangan RI Zulkifli Hasan mendampingi
Presiden RI dalam pertemuan tersebut.
“Pada pertemuan ini, para pemimpin negara ASEAN sepakat untuk memperkuat hubungan
ekonomi. Salah satunya adalah dengan mendorong Menteri Ekonomi ASEAN untuk melengkapi
penandatanganan AANZFTA. ASEAN juga mengapresiasi dukungan Australia untuk mendukung
implementasi AANZFTA dan RCEP,” kata Mendag Zulkifli Hasan.
Sebelumnya, enam negara yaitu Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Singapura, Australia, dan
Selandia Baru telah menandatangani Protokol Perubahan ke-2 AANZFTA. Penandatanganan
tersebut terlaksana di sela-sela rangkaian Pertemuan ke-55 para Menteri Ekonomi ASEAN (55th
ASEAN Economic Ministers’/AEM Meeting) di Semarang, Jawa Tengah, 21 Agustus 2023.
Mendag Zulkifli Hasan menuturkan, KTT ke-3 ASEAN—Australia juga menyepakati sejumlah hal
seperti dukungan pada kerja sama di bidang energi bersih, persetujuan kerangka kerja ekonomi
digital, dan pengembangangan ekosistem kendaraan listrik. “ASEAN memiliki nikel, sedangkan
Australia memiliki litium. Jadi, jika ASEAN dan Australia bekerja sama, keduanya bisa mencukupi
kebutuhan mobil listrik,” tambah Mendag Zulkifli Hasan.
KTT ke-3 ASEAN—Australia juga mengesahkan ASEAN—Australia Joint Leaders’ Statement on
Strengthening Food Security and Nutrition in Response to Crises, atau pernyataan bersama
pemimpin negara terkait keamanan pangan.
Mendag Zulkifli Hasan menambahkan, ASEAN dan Australia juga sepakat dengan pentingnya
perdamaian dan stabilitas di Indo-Pasifik, sentralitas ASEAN di kawasan, dan kerja sama konkret
yang bermanfaat bagi rakyat. “Tadi juga sudah disepakati tentang peringatan 50 tahun kemitraan
ASEAN dan Australia pada 4—6 Maret 2024 di Melbourne, Australia,” urainya.
Pada 2022, total perdagangan Indonesia dan Australia tercatat sebesar USD 13,3 miliar. Dari nilai
tersebut, ekspor Indonesia ke Australia sebesar USD 3,5 miliar dan impor Indonesia dari Australia
sebesar USD 9,9 miliar. Produk ekspor Indonesia ke Australia adalah pupuk, alat reseptor televisi,
dan minyak bumi. Sedangkan impor Indonesia dari Australia, yaitu batu bara, gandum, dan biji
besi.
“Nilai perdagangan Indonesia dengan Australia memang defisit USD 6,4 miliar. Hal ini karena
Indonesia mengimpor gandum, daging sapi, dan kedelai,” pungkas Mendag Zulkifli Hasan.
