IPB me-launching salah satu inovasi sosial ‘Rumah Sawit’.

Inovasi yang dipeloporiPusat Kajian Gender dan Anak (PKGA) IPB University ini telah diterapkan di tiga provinsi: Lampung, Kalimantan Tengah dan Sumatera Utara.

Launching dilakukan saat acara IPB Innovation Expo dan Launching Riset Aksi Sosial (29/9/2023) lalu.

Dr Anna Fatchiya, ketua tim peneliti mengatakan, latar belakang riset aksi sosial ini dilakukan karena adanya isu bahwa pembangunan di sektor perkebunan sawit telah meninggalkan kelompok perempuan dan anak yaitu dengan tidak terpenuhinya hak-hak mereka di sektor kesehatan, pendidikan, dan ekonomi atau pekerjaan.

Padahal, di satu sisi perempuan punya peran penting sebagai pintu masuk pencapaian tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan atau sustainable development goals (SDGs).

“Rumah Sawit merupakan tempat layanan terpadu bagi masyarakat sebagai media advokasi, pelatihan, pendidikan, dan kesehatan perempuan dan anak. Inovasi kelembagaan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi wadah bagi masyarakat di sekitar perkebunan sawit, khususnya dalam proses pemberdayaan masyarakat serta pemenuhan hak perempuan dan anak,” ujarnya.

Tim peneliti PKGA IPB University terdiri dari Dr Anna Fatchiya; Ir Fredian Tonny Nasdian, MS; Ir Julio Adosantoso, MS; Mahmudi Siwi, SP, MSi; Asri Sulistiawati, SKPm, MSi; dan Kunandar Prasetyo, SP MSi.

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendanaan dari Badan Pengelola Dana Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit (BPDPKS).

Dr Anna mengurai, praktik-praktik Rumah Sawit sebagai pusat layanan terpadu telah dilaksanakan di Desa Sidorejo Lampung, Desa Timbang Lawan Sumatera Utara, dan Desa Belawan Mulia Kalimantan Tengah.

Penerapan model Rumah Sawit di tiga tempat tersebut telah terbukti memberikan dampak positif.

Ia menyimpulkan bahwa model ini tentunya dapat dikembangkan di desa-desa lain.

Salah satu tokoh masyarakat Desa Sidorejo, Winarno mengungkapkan, “Dengan dibangunnya Rumah Sawit  dari IPB University, kelompok wanita tani (KWT) kami menjadi hidup kembali. Mereka aktif untuk memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan dengan menanami dengan benih IPB University. Para kader posyandu dan PAUD pun menjadi lebih semangat.”

Kegiatan warga desa pascariset bahkan terus berkembang. Terbukti dari bertambahnya aktivitas, yaitu kegiatan bakti sosial, arisan, dan simpan pinjam.

Sampai Maret 2023, nilai simpan pinjam mencapai 16,8 juta rupiah dan dana tabungan 7,5 juta rupiah.
