Menparekraf Berharap Penerbangan Langsung Egypt Air Mesir-Jakarta Perkuat Sektor Parekraf

Jakarta – Menteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif/Kepala Badan Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif (Kemenparekraf/Kabaparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno berharap penerbangan langsung Egyptair dari Kairo (Mesir) ke Jakarta mampu memperkuat kinerja sektor pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif di Tanah Air.

Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno saat Inauguration Flight Egypt Air di Terminal 3 Bandara Soekarno Hatta, Tangerang Banten, (31/10/2023) malam, menjelaskan setelah 7 tahun atau terakhir kali terbang pada tahun 2016, Egypt Air terbang kembali melayani rute Kairo-Jakarta-Kairo. Dengan frekuensi satu pekan dua kali.

“Penerbangan kali ini full capacity 270 penumpang. Kami berharap Egypt Air bisa terbang secara daily. Kami berharap ini mampu meningkatkan kualitas fasilitas dan layanan di sektor pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif. Bukan hanya kunjungan wisman tapi juga ekspor produk. Sektor ekonomi kreatif seperti bumbu-bumbu atau rempah-rempah dan kopi menjadi komoditas ekspor ke Mesir,” katanya.

Menparekraf Sandiaga uno mengatakan, berdasarkan data sebelum pandemi, Mesir menjadi negara penyumbang wisatawan mancanegara ke Indonesia terbesar kedua di antara negara-negara Afrika, setelah Afrika Selatan dan terbesar ketiga di antara negara-negara Timur Tengah setelah Arab Saudi dan Oman.

“Jumlah kunjungan wisatawan asal Mesir pada tahun 2019 mencapai 21.354 wisatawan,” ujar Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno

Lebih lanjut Menparekraf menjelaskan, pada 2022, jumlah pengunjung asal Mesir mencapai 6.857 wisatawan, tumbuh sebesar 1,023 persen dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya di tahun 2021. 

“Indonesia juga telah menambahkan Mesir ke dalam daftar negara yang berhak mendapatkan Visa on Arrival (VoA) pada tahun 2022,” katanya.

Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno didampingi Deputi Bidang Pemasaran Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf Ni Made Ayu Marthini dan Direktur Pemasaran Pariwisata Regional II Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf Cecep Rukendi.
