Jakarta, 4 September 2023. Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) bersama Financial Services Commission (FSC) Korea dan Council on International Financial Cooperation (CIFC) sepakat untuk memperkuat pengembangan keuangan berkelanjutan kedua negara dalam menjaga stabilitas keuangan serta meningkatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi global.
Demikan disampaikan Ketua Dewan Komisioner OJK Mahendra Siregar, Chairman CIFC JongKyu Park dan Vice Chairman FSC SoYoung Kim dalam Indonesia – Korea Financial Cooperation Forum kedua yang bertema Forging the Future of Finance: Strengthening Collaboration and Sustainable Finance in Korea and Indonesia di Jakarta, Senin.
“OJK bersama industri jasa keuangan Indonesia berkomitmen untuk selalu belajar dan berbagi mengenai perkembangan terkini dari inisiatif keuangan berkelanjutan. Kami mengapresiasi kerja sama dengan FSC, CIFC, serta para pelaku industri jasa keuangan Indonesia dan Korea yang akan bertukar pengetahuan serta best practice pengembangan keuangan berkelanjutan di kedua negara,” kata Mahendra.
Pimpinan FSC dan CIFC dalam kesempatan itu juga mengapresiasi OJK atas kolaborasi yang selama ini sudah dijalankan untuk bersama-sama memfasilitasi pengembangan keuangan berkelanjutan sesuai kondisi industri jasa keuangan terkini di masing-masing negara.
Acara ini dihadiri sekitar 130 partisipan dari regulator dan industri jasa keuangan Indonesia maupun Korea dengan dua pokok pembahasan yaitu:
- Keuangan Berkelanjutan dalam Lanskap Keuangan Indonesia dan Korea; dan
- Peran Kolaborasi dalam Membentuk Masa Depan Sektor Jasa Keuangan di sektor Asuransi, Penjaminan, Pasar Modal, dan Infrstruktur Keuangan Indonesia dan Korea.
Lebih lanjut Mahendra menyampaikan bahwa keuangan berkelanjutan berperan sangat penting dalam menghadapi dampak perubahan iklim global. Untuk itu, diperlukan kolaborasi tidak hanya dari regulator sektor jasa keuangan melainkan oleh pelaku sektor jasa keuangan di tingkat domestik maupun internasional agar pengembangan keuangan berkelanjutan terukur dan terarah.
“Kita harus memahami isu-isu terkait pengembangan keuangan berkelanjutan dalam perspektif yang lebih luas. Hal ini menurut saya adalah sesuatu yang harus terus kita sempurnakan dan kita percepat serta sesuaikan sekaligus selaraskan dengan prinsip-prinsip global dan internasional,” jelas Mahendra.
Para panelis dari kedua negara, baik dari OJK maupun industri jasa keuangan juga menyatakan akan menggali potensi kolaborasi melalui diskusi mengenai inisiatif keuangan berkelanjutan beserta pendekatan dan kebijakan yang ditempuh dalam mewujudkan ekonomi rendah karbon.
Melalui forum ini, diharapkan regulator dan industri jasa keuangan Indonesia serta Korea Selatan dapat saling memperkuat kerja sama dalam pengembangan keuangan berkelanjutan yang kredibel dan bertanggung jawab.
