Untuk menjaga kualitas tanaman stroberi para petani binaan Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (BAZNAS) RI di Desa Candikuning, Bedugul, Bali senantiasa melakukan perawatan rutin.
Kali ini Kelompok Tani Tunas Muda Candikuning II Bedugul tersebut melakukan pembenahan bedengan dan plastik bedengan tanaman di lahan stroberi mereka.
Menurut Rohmat Alimun Taha, Sahabat Zakat Community Development (ZCD) yang mendampingi petani di wilayah tersebut, kegiatan yang dimulai sejak pukul 07.00 pagi itu, bertujuan menjaga tanaman strobery agar menghasilkan buah yang berkualitas.
“Diawali dengan menyipakan alat berupa bambu, tali, plastik dan gunting. Kemudian mereka melakukan pelepasan plastik untuk dikencangkan pada tali atau patok bedengan,” kata Alimun saat mengunjungi kebun stroberi tersebut, Minggu (3/9/2023).
Dia menjelaskan, jumlah tanaman stroberi yang dirawat oleh kelompok petani ini sebanyak 1.800 pohon yang berada di lahan seluas 200 meter persegi.
Pendamping komunitas dari BAZNAS ini juga menambahkan, target pemasaran akan dilakukan di sekitar Desa Candikuning dan menyerahkan ke pengepul dan pedagang sayur di Bedugul, Bali.
Desa Candikuning, Bedugul, Bali adalah salah satu destinasi wisata, yang hampir sebagian masyarakatnya berprofesi sebagai petani.
Salah satunya, Kelompok Tani Tunas Muda binaan BAZNAS di Desa Candikuning ini.
BAZNAS melalui program ZCD memberikan bantuan dan pendampingan sejumlah usaha mustahik, termasuk dalam bidang perkebunan agar usahanya bisa berkembang dengan baik dan meningkatkan tingkat ekonomi pelaku usahanya.
