Jombang –Keseruan terlihat dalam tradisi tumpengan hasil bumi berupa manggis di Jombang. Ribuan warga memadati acara yang digelar oleh Pemerintah Desa Jarak, Kecamatan Wonosalam, Jombang di lapangan desa setempat pada Minggu, 19 Februari 2023. Acara diawali dengan kirab lebih dulu mulai pukul 07.00 Wib. Sekitar pukul 10.00 WIB seluruh kalangan manusia mulai dari bapak-bapak, ibu-ibu, hingga anak-anak memadati lapangan Desa Jarak. Mereka nampak antusias memeriahkan acara tersebut. Mereka saling berebut buah manggis yang dilemparkan oleh panitia dari tumpengan manggis raksasa. Warga meyakini, tumpengan tersebut membawa berkah. Wakil bupati Jombang, Sumrambah mengatakan, tumpengan manggis hasil bumi ini dilakukan untuk mensyukuri hasil pertanian dan nikmat yang telah diberikan oleh Tuhan. “Untuk itu, kita syukuri hari ini agar panen kelak diberikan keberlimpahan yang lebih bagus lagi,” katanya. Kepala Desa Jarak Agus Darminto menjelaskan, terdapat 14 tumpengan manggis dengan total 2023 kilogram. Ada satu tumpengan manggis raksasan yang dijadikan maskot dan tak terhitung beratnya. “Sebanyak 14 tumpeng manggis itu dari 7 dusun dan beberapa lembaga pendidikan yang ada di Desa Jarak,” ungkapnya.
