– PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) X melalui anak usahanya PT Energi Agro Nusantara (Enero) berkomitmen penuh mendukung Program Strategis Nasional (PSN) Ketahanan Energi Nasional melalui pengimplementasian bioetanol sebagai bahan bakar kendaraan. Tahun 2023 ini, PT Enero menyiapkan 1.900 Kilo Liter bietanol fuel grade untuk diserap Pertamina sebagai bahan campur untuk Pertamax Green.
Direktur PT Enero, Puji Setiyawan, menjelaskan bahwa Enero memiliki kapasitas 100 Kilo Liter Per Day (KLPD). “Saat ini 50% kapasitas pabrik kami optimalkan untuk memproduksi fuel grade, sisanya kami gunakan untuk produksi ENA Grade,” terang Puji.
Tahun 2024 mendatang, 70% hingga 80% kapasitas PT Enero akan digunakan untuk produksi fuel grade. Peningkatan produksi akan dilakukan seiring dengan besarnya serapan bioetanol dari Pertamina. PT Enero sendiri siap untuk memproduksi bioetanol fuel grade dengan mengoptimalkan kapasitas pabriknya.
“Sampai saat ini, Pertamina baru mengambil 60 Kilo Liter untuk kebutuhan Pertamax Green, sebagai uji coba di beberapa pom bensin di Surabaya dan Jakarta. Harapannya pengambilan bioetanol fuel grade bisa segera dilakukan secara bertahap dan kontinyu, sehingga Pertamax Green bisa segera diaplikasikan,” tambah Puji.
Pencampuran bietanol dalam bahan bakar kendaraan ini sudah diuji keamanannya, sehingga tidak akan merusak mesin kendaraan. Keberhasilan penerapan bioetanol dalam bahan bakar ini sudah dilakukan di beberapa negara seperti Brazil dan Thailand.
Bioetanol yang diproduksi PT Enero berasal dari tetes tebu yang dihasilkan oleh pabrik gula, dimana 4 Kilogram tetes dapat menghasilkan 1 Liter Bietanol. Bioetanol sendiri memiliki prospek menjanjikan ke depannya. Pemerintah akan merencanakan pembangunan empat pabrik bioethanol di wilayah Sumatra dan Jawa sampai dengan tahun 2028. Pembangunan pabrik bioetanol ini untuk memenuhi kebutuhan di Indonesia, khususnya sebagai bahan campur untuk Pertamax Green.
