Ryan Taufani Octavian (31), menjadi salah satu pelaku UMKM yang merasakan manfaat program SETC. Usahanya berada di bawah bendera PT Duta Comoditi Sultra, dengan merek Aren Murni Alami yang diarahkan untuk menggarap pasar domestik dan ekspor.
Dia terpilih menjadi Duta Ekspor Indonesia Timur mewakili Sulawesi Tenggara (Sultra). Duta Ekspor Indonesia Timur lahir dari kolaborasi SETC di bawah Payung Program Keberlanjutan “Sampoerna Untuk Indonesia” yang bekerja sama dengan Yayasan Business & Export Development Organization (BEDO).
Melalui Duta Ekspor Indonesia Timur, Sampoerna ingin mencetak para pelaku UMKM yang dapat membawa produk UMKM ke pasar global. Setelah melalui rangkaian seleksi, Ryan terpilih sebagai Duta Ekspor Indonesia Timur dari Sultra.
“Ketika terpilih menjadi Duta Ekspor Indonesia Timur mewakili Sulawesi Tenggara (Sultra), saya makin yakin gula aren, mulai dari gula aren serbuk, gula aren cair dan padat ini punya potensi besar di dalam negeri dan luar negeri,” ujar Ryan dalam keterangan tertulis, Selasa (31/10/2023).
Bersama dengan pelaku UMKM lainnya, Ryan dan para Duta Ekspor Indonesia Timur mendapatkan pelatihan intensif dari SETC untuk mengembangkan usaha, melihat potensi lokal, dan sejumlah hal teknis untuk bisa membawa produk ke luar negeri.
Selain menjadi Duta Ekspor Indonesia Timur 2023, usahanya juga terpilih ikut dalam ajang Trade Expo Indonesia. Menurutnya, hal ini merupakan langkah pertama untuk memulai ekspor. Sejauh ini, pihaknya telah menjajaki peluang ekspor ke berbagai negara seperti Amerika Serikat, Australia, Tiongkok, Jepang dan Korea.
Untuk menyasar pasar ekspor, Ryan mendapatkan banyak bantuan dari SETC karena tidak hanya mendampingi, memberikan pelatihan tapi juga membuka akses pasar seperti melalui Trade Expo Indonesia 2023.
“Saya sangat berterima kasih untuk SETC dan BEDO. Pelatihan yang saya terima belum pernah saya dapat di tempat lain. Hal penting juga ialah membantu akses pasar dengan ikut Trade Expo ini. Akses pasar ini yang paling banyak dibutuhkan pelaku UMKM,” imbuh Ryan.
Gula aren produksi PT Duta Comoditi Sultra, katanya, telah memenuhi Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) dan internasional. Duta Comoditi Sultra juga mampu memproduksi gula aren padat sebanyak 18 ton per bulan, gula aren cair sebanyak 5 ton, dan gula aren serbuk sebanyak 2 ton.
Ryan optimistis produk gula aren serbuk, gula aren cair, dan padat bisa diekspor karena permintaan luar negeri yang cukup tinggi. Ryan juga berharap SETC dapat terus mendukung para Duta Ekspor Indonesia Timur melalui pelatihan tepat guna, akses pasar dan business matching.
