Pada rapat ini, Zulhas berbicara mengenai inflasi, harga bahan pokok, rafaksi minyak goreng, hingga surplus perdagangan.
Mengenai inflasi, per Oktober 2023, inflasi Indonesia year-on-year (YoY) ada di angka 2,56 persen, dan inflasi month-on-month (MoM) sebesar 0,7 persen.
Angka ini lebih rendah dibandingkan tahun 2022. Zulhas mengatakan angka ini berada di rentang target inflasi 2023.
“(Angka ini) masih dalam sasaran inflasi 2-4 persen. Inflasi kita lebih rendah dari tahun lalu yang 5,5 persen. Target kita 2-4 persen,” kata Zulhas.
Zulhas menjelaskan, inflasi terbesar ada di produk seperti beras, telur, dan ayam ras. Sementara deflasi terbesar ada di minyak goreng, cabai merah, bawang merah, dan cabai rawit.
Kemendag telah melakukan berbagai upaya untuk menekan inflasi. Dengan melibatkan berbagai pihak termasuk pemerintah daerah, pemerintah melakukan operasi pasar di berbagai wilayah Indonesia. Operasi pasar murah ini bertujuan untuk menjaga daya beli masyarakat.
