Banyuwangi – Tour of Kemala seri 2 tahun ini digelar di kota Blambangan dengan mengusung tema “Berkarya untuk Negeri”. Event sepeda ini akan terbagi dalam dua kategori yang bisa diikuti.
Pertama, kategori race 128 Km untuk peserta profesional nasional dan internasional, komunitas, serta anggota Kemala Bhayangkari. Kedua, kategori tour sejauh 55 Km yang diikuti peserta non profesional.

Kapolresta Banyuwangi Kombes Pol Deddy Foury Millewa mengatakan event balap sepeda ini digelar Yayasan Kemala Bhayangkari dan Pengurus Besar Ikatan Sepeda Sport Indonesia (PB ISSI).

Tujuan event ini untuk memberi wadah berkumpul para atlet profesional dan pemula untuk sharing pengalaman dan ilmu. Tour of Kemala juga menjadi ajang mencari bibit unggul professional road bike.

Keberadaan tour of Kemala diharapkan dapat mendongkel sektor wisata di Banyuwangi. Sebab, rute pesepeda nantinya akan melintasi sejumlah objek wisata unggulan Banyuwangi. Di antaranya Taman Sritanjung, Simpang Lima, Desa Adat Wisata Osing, Kemiren hingga Bandara Blimbingsari.
