Terus Berkembang, Pemerintah Ajak Masyarakat Memanfaatkan Sektor Ekonomi Digital di Masa Pemulihan Ekonomi Nasional

Sanur, September 2023 – Wakil Menteri Perdagangan Jerry Sambuaga mengungkapkan, sektor ekonomi digital merupakan salah satu peluang di masa pemulihan ekonomi Indonesia. Ke depan, sektor ini akan terus tumbuh seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi yang sangat dinamis dan berkesinambungan. Hal ini disampaikan Wamendag Jerry dalam The 2nd International Conference on Contemporary Risk Studies dengan tema ‘Managing Sustainability and Resilience’ yang diselenggarakan oleh Universitas Pertamina di Sanur, Bali, Kamis (21/9). Turut hadir dalam kegiatan ini Dekan Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Pertamina Dr. Dewi Hanggraeni, S.E, MBA dan Wakil Dekan Fakultas Komunikasi dan Diplomasi Universitas Pertamina Dr. Indra Kusumawardhana, M.Hub.Int. “Dalam masa pemulihan ekonomi Indonesia, salah satu peluang baru adalah tumbuhnya ekonomi digital. Hal ini penting dalam mendukung pemulihan perekonomian nasional. Pada 2021, nilai ekonomi digital Indonesia berkisar USD 70 miliar dan diperkirakan akan tumbuh hingga USD 146 miliar pada 2025. Peran ekonomi digital Indonesia diproyeksikan akan terus tumbuh hingga 23,6 persen Produk Domestik Bruto (PDB) nasional pada 2030,” urai Wamendag Jerry. Menurutnya, semakin pentingnya peran ekonomi digital tidak lepas dari pertumbuhan sektor niaga elektronik (e-commerce) yang masih mendominasi sebagai penyumbang pertumbuhan paling signifikan. Bank Indonesia memperkirakan pada 2023, transaksi niaga elektronik nasional mencapai Rp533,5 triliun, meningkat sekitar 12 persen dari tahun sebelumnya. Mempertimbangkan proyeksi dan meningkatnya peran ekonomi digital di masa depan, pemerintah Indonesia telah menetapkan Visi Ekonomi Digital Indonesia 2022—2030 untuk masuk peringkat empat besar ekonomi digital terbesar di Kawasan Asia. Untuk mencapai posisi tersebut, pemerintah telah menetapkan beberapa target pada 2030, antara lain meningkatkan Digital Skills Ranking menjadi 25 dari 140 negara, meningkatkan rasio usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) yang terdigitalisasi menjadi 41 persen, mendorong penggunaan pembayaran digital menjadi 45 persen dari total populasi penduduk Indonesia, dan meningkatkan peran ekspor produk teknologi menjadi 1,6 persen. Wamendag Jerry menambahkan, kecepatan dan skala ekonomi digital mendorong masyarakat untuk beralih dari model tradisional ke modern dan keperluan untuk mengadopsi strategi yang inovatif. Masyarakat diharuskan mengubah pandangan perdagangan global dari jaringan entitas yang terisolasi menjadi sistem yang saling berhubungan. “Masa depan perdagangan bergantung pada kemampuan kita dalam menyatukan sumber daya, pengetahuan, dan inisiatif untuk bersama mengatasi tantangan. Hal ini bertujuan melindungi kepentingan ekonomi dan memetakan jalan menuju sistem perdagangan global yang lebih digital, berkelanjutan, adil, dan tangguh,” pungkas Wamendag Jerry.
